Journey Towards Improved Health is a mental health & wellness center that provide professional support to assist you with attaining high quality emotional health. Whether your circumstances are a result of early childhood trauma, grief, substance use disorders, life stressors and/or disabilities, etc., we look forward to being your guide with helping you navigate your emotions and develop skills to improve your emotional health.
In addition, to providing emotional support we partner with providers who complement services through use of Opioid Treatment via Suboxone, Medication Management.
We remove all barriers by making our services accessible to all. If transportation is a barrier, we offer teletherapy through our trusted platforms that are HIPPA compliant.

Personal Statement
My name is Eva Washington and I use an eclectic treatment approach which can embrace people from all backgrounds and cultures. The one approach I do believe is appropriate for all is the Person Centered approach. You can never go wrong focusing on the person and tailoring treatment to the individual. My life experience affords me a practical approach not every therapist can experience from the classroom. I specialize in LBGQT+, trauma and substance abuse. I work with adults, young adults, teens, and couples.
Having four children of my own who are doing well in life definitely gives me practical experience. However, I have worked with children since 2006 who have experienced emotional disorders from anxiety up to conduct disorder. I operated a Level III Residential Treatment Facility which allowed me to work with the most difficult teenagers within the community. This experience allowed me to work with families and assist with conflict resolution, scheduling and sometimes just help with communication skills. Additionally, I do PRN work in an inpatient facility which allows be to front and center with individuals who experience the most extreme crisis. So, whether it is in the community or in the facility settings, I feel confident I can help you and/or your family work through some of the most difficulty challenges they may be facing in life
